Himiza Development Organization emerged from a grassroots movement of community activists and development professionals who recognized the need for locally-driven solutions to systemic challenges.
What began as a small education initiative in three communities has grown into a comprehensive development organization serving more communities across Tanzania.
Today, we work at the intersection of human rights, environmental sustainability, and economic opportunity, always guided by the principle of community self driven initiatives.
